Environmental Management

Respect towards, and protection of, the natural environment is one of the key pillars of Electro Tharwat’s activities. Since the early 1990’s, Electro Tharwat has integrated the principles of the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System into its operations and has been certified for it. In line with these principles, Electro Tharwat is attentive to catering its methodologies to the environmental rules, regulations and needs of its project locations. This includes limiting air emissions, responsibly managing its water and electricity usages and capping the noise pollution of its activities to respect to the needs of neighboring communities.

Focus on Renewable Energy

The development, and execution, of renewable energy projects became a focal point for Electro Tharwat’s activities starting from the early 2000’s. Electro Tharwat formed an independent division for renewable energy projects within its company and invested heavily in reinforcing this division with the needed resources in order to expand the company’s activities in this field. The Aswan High Dam Hydro Power Plant project which Electro Tharwat executed is one of the primary sources of electricity on the Egyptian grid.

As Electro Tharwat continues to enrich the expertise and capabilities of this division, it is able to provide communities with more reliable clean energy sources and facilitate more solutions for stabilizing renewable energy on grids.

Focus on Projects in Developing Countries

100% of Electro Tharwat’s activities are in developing countries. It is Electro Tharwat’s prerogative to participate in power and infrastructural projects in developing countries in order to provide communities with the needed utilities for living.

Electro Tharwat is privileged to be able to see the direct impact its executed projects have to the quality of life of the communities it serves. Particularly in areas suffering from instability, war or terrorism, the provision of stable electricity is essential, not only for the quality of life, but for the security of the citizens.

With every project Electro Tharwat takes on, globally, it ensures that local communities in the project location are provided with ample job opportunities on the project by setting a minimum quota for local personnel, enhancing the economy in the areas within which it is active.

Investing in Agriculture

Electro Tharwat invests in development of hundreds of acres of farmland, providing a local source of organic olives and mangoes for its community in Egypt. The agriculture in these farmlands is focused on sustainability and soil fertility, and completely avoids the use of synthetic materials, chemicals or hormones in the growth of its produce.

Electro Tharwat utilizes its resources in aiding in the realization of charitable healthcare, food, education and housing projects, in order to do its part in giving back to the community which it serves.
