Establishing a safe construction environment and implementing the international HSE standards are the essential measures that reflect upon Electro Tharwat’s HSE culture and build upon its exceptional corporate image. They are the fundamental requirements for the company’s safety development.
Electro Tharwat upholds the most rigorous Health, Safety & Environmental policies world-wide, as HSE is a core value in the company. Accordingly, in 1997, Electro Tharwat became one of the first companies in the region to be ISO certified for its Occupational Health & Safety Management and is Environmental Management systems.
For each of its projects, Electro Tharwat formulates an HSE plan on the premise of “life first”. All of Electro Tharwat’s HSE plans are people-oriented, are focussed on the “prevention” principal, and are supported by the adequate HSE management experience that it has accumulated throughout the years, and which it uses as reference for each project’s HSE management standards.
The goal of each of Electro Tharwat’s HSE plans is to guide the HSE management implementation in every project, while ensuring that these plans meet the requirements of all stakeholders to the project. Electro Tharwat’s HSE plans are ‘live documents’ which are continuously reviewed, revised, and updated as the work progresses to achieve the objectives of each project.

Through its HSE management policy and customized systems for each project, Electro Tharwat aims to create the safest work environment for all its personnel, and to ensure that its activities in each project location abide by all environmental policies of the place of work and protect the ecosystem in the best possible way.
Safety Precautions
COVID-19
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Electro Tharwat has implemented social distancing measures, daily temperature checks and rapid testing of any personnel showing symptoms into its EHS plans and has added masks and sanitizers into its essential Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) list.
Within all its camp Sites, Electro Tharwat ensures that isolation areas are included to isolate any positive cases and any exposed cases until a negative antigen test has been achieved after a sufficient time from exposure.
Site teams are notified that taking control over the spread of the virus on Site is of top priority, and that under no circumstances shall any symptomatic or exposed case be allowed on Site until the proper testing procedures have been taken.

Security
Electro Tharwat maintains a highly qualified and well equipped security department, which enforces a zero security incident policy. The strength of this department is the key factor enabling Electro Tharwat to participate in development projects in turbulent countries, with complete confidence that the security of its personnel will be completely maintained. Electro Tharwat’s security system is also what gives its team the confidence to venture into these zones to develop them with full confidence that they will not experience any security breach.
